Annual General Meeting of the Chess Federation of Sri Lanka 2011
The Annual General Meeting of the Chess Federation of Sri Lanka was held on 30th March 2011 at the Royal College Union Auditorium at 4.30 p.m. Mr. Upali Gunasekera, the Principal of Royal College was elected unanimously as the president of the Chess Federation of Sri Lanka. Mr. Gunasekera, who is supporting the game for the last decade was the Vice President of the Chess Federation for last two and a half years. He served as the president of Sri Lanka Schools Chess Association for last five years. Mr. Jagath Ketalawala elected as the new hony. Secrfetary of the Chess Federation of Sri Lanka.

The following Executive- Committee was elected unanimously:
1. President Mr. Upali Gunasekera
2. Vice President Mr. Luxman Wijesuriya
3. Hony. Secretary Mr. JKC Ketalawala
4. Hony. Asst. Secretary Mr. RS Kalugampitiya
5. Hony. Tournament Secretary. Mr. Erosh Jayasinghe
6. Hony. Treasurer Mr. Werochana Perera
7. Hony. Asst. Treasurer Mr. WSP Arangala
8. Committee Members Mr. Gihan Dinesh Perera
9. Committee Members Mr. Rajiv Thilakaratne
10. Committee Members Mr. Shamin De Moraes
11. Committee Members Mr.Naditha Amarakoon
12. Committee Members Mr. Chinthaka Weerasinghe
13. Committee Members Mr. Sumal Horawalavithana
Naditha Amarakoon is appointed as the Rating officer and Rajeendra Kalugampitiya is appointed as the press officer.
