A3:  Qualifiers from A2.  Participants of A3 and internationally rated players are eligible to enter direct into B4, B5 & B6 tournaments.
B1:  SLSCA - Sri Lanka Schools Chess Association
B2:  Ages for SLSCA individual tournaments are considered as at 01st January
B3:  These days are reseved for zonals that cannot be held on the preceeding two weekends.
B4, B5  & B6:   Finals of B1, B2 and B3.  Criteria of selection to finals: For Colombo, Kandy, Galle and Gampaha zones-5 finalists from
                         the first 32 players and 1 additional finalist per 6 players in excess.  For other zones it will be 3 from the first 32 and 
                         1 per 8 players in excess.
B5:               Alternate dates for B4
C1:   There will be three divisions: Division A is for the teams that participated in the last year except the last three, C for the new comers
                                    and the B for the in-between.  Teams in divisions A, and C must play direct in the finals and the teams in division B 
                                    have to play in the zonals to qualify for the finals.  Teams that were placed last three in the A division are demoted to 
play direct in the division B finals and the teams that were placed first three in the B division are promoted to play 
direct in the A division.  Ages are considered as at 31st, December.
C2:   These days are reseved for zonals that cannot be held on the preceeding weekend.
C3 & C4:       Finals of C1 & C2  Criteria of selection to finals: For Colombo, Kandy, Galle and Gampaha zones-3 finalists from the
                      first 9 teams and 1 additional finalist per 4 teams in excess.  For other zones it will be 2 from first 9 teams and 1 per
                      5 teams in excess.  When there are less than 6 teams, the number will be decided by the committee.
