Harshana Makes his final Norm!
Congratulations!
Harshan Thilakarathne, 16 year old student of Maliyadeva College made
his final International Master Norm at the Third
Saturday GM Tournamentat Serbia on 19th February 2020.
to reach his dream.
He is the 1st person to achieve the IM title completing 3 norms with
the required rating.
Actually,
at this joyful moment we gratefully remember our former coach, GM Dimitry
Komrov for his service. He is the one who made the mind of our players.

required rating, and the enthusiasm of his parents, Dr. Nayana Wickramasinghe
and Mr. Thilakaratne and we salute them as well. I request all Chess loving
persons in Sri Lanka to join with us in congratulating Harshana and wishing
him to go for the next step, Our 1st Grand Master.
